Born in 1974, the Port Macquarie Pirates Rugby Union Club is a family and fun-orientated club for everyone of all ages and abilities. We focus on sharing the love of rugby union, developing our players and building the club to be a better version of itself each year.
With 17 Premierships in the Mid North Coast 1st Grade Men and Women competitions, we have a proud tradition of success.
Through a relaxed and social atmosphere, we pride ourselves on promoting a culture that teaches the players the rewards of rugby with the foundations built upon respect, discipline, integrity and hard work. All that, and it’s just good fun to play. As a club, we love that we can be part of helping provide all that to our players and community.

SENIOR womEn
Senior Women’s 10 a side in the Mid North Coast competition on Saturdays alongside the Senior Men and U14 to U18s. We have a strong culture based on respect, fun, friendship and open-running rugby. Even if you’ve never played before, this game can be for everyone. Welcoming and encouraging new players, veteran players and anyone in between. You’ll never want to leave!
Juniors
Under 6s to U12s play on Friday Nights at Stuart Park in the Port Macquarie Junior Rugby competition. The focus is on players learning the fun of rugby and team sports as a whole. Success is measured when you can’t wipe the smile off any of the kid’s faces.
This includes the ‘All Abilities’ program which aims to provide a platform for children that can benefit from a tailored program to improve their Rugby Union skills while making friends and being connected to the Rugby Community and their peers.
Under 14s to U18s play on Saturdays alongside the Seniors in the Mid-North Coast competition. At this age, the level of rugby matures in line with the players. Fast and furious at times, this is where individuals are solidified into the strength of team.
GOLDEN OLDIES
Golden Oldies Rugby Union in Port Macquarie for players and supporters over the age of 35 in a spirit of Fun, Friendship and Fraternity.
An essential ingredient to the clubs’ success is the sponsorship by superstar individuals and companies that believe in providing this sport to all ages, shapes and sizes.
